With a motto of building for the future, Karl draws on more than 30 years of building and construction experience matched with a proven ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
Karl established successful building company, WABi Constructions, in 1996 and Eco Beach Resort in Broome, Western Australia, where he commenced working on the prototype for the WABi villa, Eco Tents, facility buildings and gazebos. WABi Constructions has since delivered over 200 projects in Australia and globally, and has evolved to deliver the WABi Systems construction methodology as part of the WABi Group.
For Karl, designing WABi Systems was all about understanding his clients’ needs from their unique perspective. He recognised the need for a simpler, stronger, and smarter approach to construction resulting in WABi Systems adapting to meet the demands of building in some of the world’s most remote locations and challenging terrains.
Shaynnon heads our Sales and Business Development team, bringing a deep understanding of the industry and a sharp eye for opportunity. He is an integral part of the team, expertly managing a global network across multiple time zones, staying on the clock 24/7 to ensure smooth operations.
Tom has been an integral part of the constant innovation and design behind WABi Systems. Tom joined the WABi Group as the Sales and Business Development Manager in 2012 and has spent the past decade working within the tourism sector, helping to take our sister company, Eco Structures, to the international market – introducing the $3.3 billion global glamping trend to a wider audience. Tom knows how to turn a tourism dream into reality.
Tiki is our Group Procurement Manager with a strong background in sales and marketing. She combines her expertise in cost estimating with strategic procurement, ensuring precise budgeting and robust supplier negotiations. Her commercial acumen helps her identify market trends, aligning procurement strategies with our business goals and delivering cost-effective, market-driven solutions.
Madison is our Creative Lead, blending a unique mix of architectural expertise with a strategic vision for brand marketing. As the driving force behind our architectural design, and marketing, she ensures that every project aligns with both innovative design principles and a strong, consistent brand presence across all platforms.
Lesley has led the financial accounting, reporting and budgeting functions of the WABi Group since 1997. An experienced finance manager, Lesley has a thorough understanding of the economics of running a successful business and is surrounded by a strong, supportive team of long-standing colleagues.
Nick leads our R&D (Research and Development) and is responsible for supporting research and guiding engineers in various experiments, investigations, new products, processes and technologies. Nick is crucial for the success our company’s quality assurance, accreditations, ongoing innovation and sustainability.
Wing’s approach to design is to create sustainable, confident Architecture that captures nature’s offerings, ultimately delivering solutions that have the least harmful effect on the environment. He strives to find balance between functionality and aesthetics whilst continuously working with the client to ensure a result which exceeds their initial expectation within the project idea and budget.
Kate is the guiding force behind our commitment to customer satisfaction. As a key member of our sales team, Kate ensures that each and every client feels valued and supported throughout their journey with our company. Her passion for building strong, lasting relationships with our customers makes her an invaluable asset to our team.
Renan is the team leader for structural drafting and construction documentation at WABi Systems. He has extensive involvement in the engineering, manufacturing and fabrication of all WABi system construction components. Renan allow our systems to be prefabricated accurately, produce zero waste and permit rapid and effortless construction.
Megan leads our WABi projects with precision, energy, and a passion for making things happen. As a vibrant force behind the scenes, she brings a unique blend of sharp organisation and contagious enthusiasm to every initiative. Known for her spreadsheet mastery and can-do attitude, Megan thrives on turning complexity into clarity, always keeping momentum high and outcomes focused.
Tony leads our logistics operations with deep industry expertise and an unmatched command of the supply chain. When it comes to all things logistics, Tony is the go-to! He showcases his mastery daily – coordinating complex freight movements, managing imports, and ensuring our products reach destinations across the globe with precision and efficiency.
Greg leads our Estimating & Procurement function with a strong foundation of old-school values—integrity, diligence, and doing things the right way. These principles guide every decision he makes, ensuring that trust and transparency remain at the core of our supply chain.
Michelle is our versatile and experienced internal accountant. With years of expertise in managing finances, she is a valuable asset to our team. Michelle is not only responsible for handling our accounts and ensuring that everything is up-to-date, but she also goes the extra mile by looking after our staff contracts/ on-boarding, ABNs and trademarks.
Justin’s role primarily centers on overseeing sales operations in the US, with additional responsibilities for managing sales and projects in Australia. His strategic focus is crucial in expanding WABi Systems’ adoption within the resort and holiday park sectors. As a sales consultant, Justin excels in building lasting client relationships, leveraging in-depth product knowledge to tailor solutions, and driving sales through effective problem-solving and market insight.
Cristian crafts precision-targeted digital strategies using dashboards, SEO’s and marketing and sales performance metrics. With expertise in AB testing, web maintenance, and social media management, Cristian ensures our brand shines consistently across all channels, captivating audiences and achieving our business objectives.
Karen leads our People & Culture and ISO initiatives with a belief that great businesses are built on the strength of their people. Tim’s role focuses on overseeing the sales and business development efforts of WABi Systems. Overall, his role is crucial in expanding the adoption of the WABi System by forging strong relationships with builders and ensuring that they are equipped to install the system effectively in their projects.
